Forecast looked good so escaped uni for an afternoon sail with Martin and a couple of other guys from the windsurf club. When we got there wind wasn't very strong though. Ummed and ahhed between rigging up my 6.0 or my 7.4. In the end rigged the 6.0, which turned out to be a mistake. Didn't plane much and drifted a lot (wind with tide which didn't help).

Gave up after 45 mins and had a 10 minute walk of shame back to the van. Faffed around for ages rigging up the 7.4 but got out eventually although by now the sun was starting to go down. Was planing most of the time now, but not a particularly exciting session.
